Man Arrested for Allegedly Killing Wife Over Marital Dispute in Western North
40-year-old Burkinabe suspect held by police after wife’s death in Juaboso District
Incident Reported in Sefwi Kwasikrom
A 40-year-old Burkinabe national, identified as Christopher Kabore, has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife after a prolonged marital disagreement.
The incident occurred at Sefwi Kwasikrom, near Bonsu Nkwanta–Nkyesenkokoo, in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
Alleged Cause of the Dispute
According to initial police reports, the suspect allegedly accused his wife of infidelity following a period of about four months without marital intimacy.
Investigators say the disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, which reportedly led to the woman’s death.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Police sources indicate that the suspect allegedly caused multiple injuries to his wife before she died. After the incident, he reportedly buried the body.
The suspect is also said to have attempted to harm himself but survived.
He was later arrested by the police and is currently in custody at Juaboso, where he is assisting with investigations.

Body Exhumed for Further Examination
Police have since exhumed the body and transported it to the Juaboso Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and further examination.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
