IShowSpeed’s Akropong–Accra Flight Becomes World’s Most Tracked
IShowSpeed’s helicopter flight from Akropong to Accra became the most tracked worldwide as his Ghana visit drew massive global attention.

All eyes across the world turned to Ghana on January 26, 2026, following the arrival of global streamer and content creator Darren Jason Watkins Jr., popularly known as IShowSpeed, as part of his African tour.
The visit generated massive online engagement, with millions tuning in across various platforms to follow his movements and activities in the country.
Traditional Naming Ceremony in Akropong
As part of his itinerary, IShowSpeed was taken to Akropong in the Eastern Region, where traditional authorities formally welcomed him with an Akan naming ceremony.
During the ceremony, he was immersed in local customs and traditions before being conferred the name Barima Kofi Akuffo, symbolising bravery, honour, and cultural belonging.

Historic Flight Draws Global Tracking
Following the ceremony, the streamer boarded a private helicopter which transported him from Akropong to Burma Camp in Accra, before proceeding to the Independence Square for subsequent activities.
The short flight gained unprecedented attention online. According to reports, the helicopter, identified on Flightradar24 as flight 9GAFW AS50, became the most tracked flight worldwide on January 26, 2026.
More than 3,000 people reportedly monitored the flight live as viewers followed Speed’s livestream in real time.

IShowSpeed’s visit featured several activities across Accra and its environs, including:
- A car stunt experience
- A massage session at the Shea Butter Museum
- A meeting with the daughter of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah
- A boxing experience in Bukom
- A backflip at Black Star Square
- A massage at the Asenema Waterfall
