Woman says her boyfriend of six years left with another woman she brought into her home, along with ₦950,000 rent savings

Lady Shares Painful Experience Online
A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to recount her heartbreaking experience after her boyfriend of six years allegedly ran away with another woman she had taken into her home.
The emotional revelation was made in a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @mazi_chinonso, where the woman narrated how the incident unfolded.
How the Incident Began
According to the lady, she had brought her 40-year-old boyfriend from the village to live with her, believing their long-term relationship was built on trust.
Trouble reportedly started when a female friend from Lagos came to stay with her, claiming she was in Asaba for a job interview. Unknown to her, the woman said, her boyfriend and the guest had already begun an affair.
Shocking Discovery
She revealed that she returned home unexpectedly one day and caught the pair together on her bed.
While she immediately asked the visiting lady to leave the house, her boyfriend allegedly packed his belongings and followed her out.
“I was expecting him to call me but he didn’t. I called him and he didn’t pick,” she said.
“I later found out that they are now staying together in a new place they rented.”
₦950,000 Rent Money Now Missing
Despite the betrayal, the woman admitted she still has feelings for him, stressing that they had been together for six years.
Her major concern, however, is the ₦950,000 (GHS 7.4K) rent money she said she had kept with him for safekeeping.
She explained that she usually entrusts him with the rent money so he can pay when it is due, adding that she felt it would “look somehow” if she handled all the payments herself.
With her rent set to expire next month, she says she is now stranded.
“Even if he doesn’t love me anymore, he should please give me my ₦950k (GHS 7.4K) I kept with him,” she pleaded.
