Popular Nigerian Fuji-Pop and Afrofuji singer Afeez Adeshina, widely known as Destiny Boy, has reportedly passed away at the age of 22, sparking shock and deep sadness across social media.

News of his reported death went viral on Sunday after disturbing videos showing the singer lying lifeless inside a vehicle surfaced online. The clips, which were widely shared on X (formerly Twitter), showed cotton wool placed in his nostrils, triggering emotional reactions from fans and fellow artistes.

No Official Statement Yet From Family or Management

As of the time of filing this report, no official confirmation has been issued by Destiny Boy’s family or management. However, unconfirmed reports indicate that his body is being transported to Abeokuta, Ogun State, for burial.

Another video circulating online reportedly captured the moment his body arrived at his parents’ residence in Ayetoro, Ogun State, further fueling reports of his death.

Colleague Speaks on Illness Before His Death

Bolisco, a colleague of Destiny Boy and an associate of controversial singer Portable, claimed the young musician had been seriously ill before his death.

According to him, Destiny Boy reportedly suffered severe symptoms and was said to have vomited blood shortly before passing away. These claims, however, have not been officially verified by medical authorities or family members.

Destiny Boy’s Rise to Fame and Personal Life

Destiny Boy rose to national fame in 2019 after his Fuji-style cover of Davido’s hit song “If” went viral, earning him massive street recognition and a loyal fan base.

In November 2024, the late singer joyfully announced the birth of his first child on Instagram, marking a major personal milestone just months before his reported death.
