Ghanaian Man Delivers 20 Kenkey Balls to Nurse in Talking Stage

A nurse at the Tema General Hospital has sparked reactions online after sharing a video showing 20 neatly packaged balls of kenkey sent to her colleague by a man she is currently in the talking stage with.

How the Kenkey Surprise Happened

According to the nurse who shared the video, her colleague had casually told the man she was talking to that she was hungry and craving kenkey while on duty at the hospital.

The man responded that he knew a good kenkey spot around the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and offered to buy some for her.

In a joking reply, the lady said she could even finish 20 kenkey if he decided to buy that many.

Joke Turns Into Reality

To their surprise, the man took the comment seriously.

Instead of buying a few balls of kenkey, he reportedly bought all 20 kenkey, neatly packaged them, and arranged for delivery from UPSA straight to Tema General Hospital.

The video shared by the nurse shows the large quantity of kenkey laid out, leaving staff members amused and shocked by the unexpected gesture.

Social Media Reactions

The clip has since gone viral, with social media users reacting in different ways. While some praised the man for his generosity and sense of humor, others debated whether the gesture was thoughtful or excessive, especially for someone still in the talking stage.

Many users also joked about the “pressure” such a move could create early in a potential relationship.
