Manchester United Stun Arsenal With Late 3–2 Win at Emirates

Manchester United produced a stunning late comeback at the Emirates Stadium to defeat Arsenal 3–2, handing the Gunners a rare home league loss and dealing a blow to their Premier League title ambitions.

Arsenal Dominate Early but Fail to Capitalise

Arsenal started the match brightly, controlling possession and pushing United deep into their half. Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka were influential down the right, while Martin Ødegaard and Martin Zubimendi found pockets of space between the lines.

The Gunners’ best early chance fell to Zubimendi, whose close-range header from a Rice free kick was brilliantly tipped over the bar by United goalkeeper Lammens.

Own Goal Gives Arsenal the Lead

Despite United slowly growing into the game on the counter, Arsenal opened the scoring in the 29th minute. Ødegaard’s effort from inside the box took a deflection off Lisandro Martínez and beat Lammens, going down as an own goal after sustained corner pressure.

United Punish Costly Arsenal Error

The goal appeared to unsettle Arsenal rather than calm them. Eight minutes later, a defensive mistake brought United level. Zubimendi’s loose pass was intercepted by Bryan Mbeumo, who calmly finished past David Raya to make it 1–1 before halftime.

Dorgu Stuns Emirates With Brilliant Strike

United carried their momentum into the second half and went ahead five minutes after the restart. Patrick Dorgu drifted inside, combined with Bruno Fernandes, and curled a superb shot into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Mikel Arteta responded with four substitutions just before the hour mark, reshaping his side to chase the game.

Arsenal Fight Back Late On

Arsenal increased the pressure, mainly through set pieces and wide deliveries. With the armband on, Bukayo Saka led the charge, delivering dangerous balls into the box and testing Lammens from distance.

The equaliser arrived in the 84th minute. A Saka cross caused chaos in the six-yard box, Saliba’s header was blocked on the line, and Mikel Merino reacted fastest to fire home the rebound and make it 2–2.

Cunha Delivers Late United Winner

Just three minutes later, United struck again. Kobbie Mainoo picked out Matheus Cunha on the edge of the area, and the forward guided a low shot into the bottom corner beyond Raya to restore United’s lead.

United Survive Frantic Finish

Arsenal threw everything forward in the closing minutes, introducing Viktor Gyökeres and Noni Madueke. Gyökeres came close twice in stoppage time but was denied by Lammens as United held on for a dramatic victory.
