The UCC Lecturer Accident has thrown the academic community into mourning following the tragic deaths of Dr. Kwabena Koforobour Agyemang and his teaching assistant, Peter Amoadu Asmah.
The incident reportedly occurred at the 3rd Ridge Junction, Cape Coast, Ghana while the two were travelling to Winneba for an official meeting.
What happened
According to eyewitness accounts, a tipper truck is said to have lost control and veered off its path.
The victims reportedly noticed the danger early and attempted to pull over to safety. However, the truck allegedly ran over their parked vehicle, crushing it and trapping both occupants.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Victims identified
Dr. Kwabena Koforobour Agyemang was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Coast, affiliated with the Department of Geography and Regional Planning.
His assistant, Peter Amoadu Asmah, was a committed graduate who supported teaching and departmental activities.
Reports indicate he sustained severe injuries and lost significant blood before help arrived.
