“Life Has Dealt Me Hard Blows” — 40-Year-Old Woman Laments Singleness
Woman says mistakes from her youth still affect her chances of marriage
A 40-year-old woman has taken to social media to share her emotional struggles with life, revealing that she is still single at an age she never imagined, describing her journey as one that has left her “half dead.”
In a video shared online, the woman confirmed that she is now 40 years old and not in any relationship, a reality she admits is far from what she planned for herself earlier in life.
“This Is Not the Life I Planned”
According to her, she had strong hopes and plans while growing up, believing she would be married in her early twenties and done giving birth before her late twenties.
“When I was little, I thought to myself that I would get married between 20 and 21 years,” she said.
“Maybe before 27 or 28, I would have finished giving birth.”

Woman Blames Herself for Past Mistakes
The woman admitted that she blames herself for certain decisions she made in the past, saying those mistakes are now affecting her present life and chances of marriage.
“I believe that some of the mistakes I made then are seriously affecting me now,” she said.
“The mistake I made is affecting me so much that I’ve not seen anybody who wants to marry me.”
Her emotional confession has sparked mixed reactions online, with many sympathising with her, while others encouraged her not to lose hope, reminding her that life does not end at 40.
