Afrobeats superstar Davido has firmly denied claims that he is the father of a teenage girl who recently requested a DNA test to confirm her paternity.
The singer stated that he never had a personal relationship with the girl’s mother, adding that his only interaction with them occurred during DNA testing procedures.
Five DNA Tests Conducted – Davido
According to Davido, a total of five DNA tests were conducted at different medical facilities.
He explained that:
- Three tests were chosen by him
- Two were chosen by the girl’s mother
Davido stressed that all five results confirmed he is not the biological father.

“This is the last time I will speak on this matter,” Davido said, insisting the issue should be considered settled.
Singer Describes Experience as Emotionally Draining
The award-winning artist described the entire episode as emotionally taxing, stating that the situation has affected both him and his family.
While he criticised the conduct of the girl’s mother, Davido made it clear that he does not blame the teenager for the controversy.
Leaked Chat Sparks Fresh Controversy
The issue resurfaced after a leaked chat allegedly involving Davido and 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchell went viral online.
In the exchange, the minor reportedly accused the singer of threatening to have her mother arrested over what he described as continued harassment.
As of the time of this report, Davido has neither confirmed nor denied the authenticity of the leaked messages.
Davido Responds on Social Media
Reacting on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), Davido reiterated that he is not the child’s father, stressing again that multiple DNA tests had returned negative results.
He reportedly warned that the claims must stop, citing the emotional toll on his children and family.
Threat of Legal Action
In the alleged messages, Davido reportedly threatened to:
- Release the DNA results publicly
- Take legal action against the girl’s mother
He maintained that the repeated accusations were unfair and damaging.
Mother Seeks Fresh DNA Test
In a new development, Anuoluwapo’s mother announced plans to involve the U.S. State Department, seeking an independent DNA test.
She cited Davido’s U.S. citizenship as the basis for requesting diplomatic involvement.
