FC Barcelona defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid 3–2 on Sunday night to win the Spanish Super Cup in a thrilling final played at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The victory made Barcelona the first club in history to win the Spanish Super Cup in two consecutive seasons and to defeat Real Madrid in three straight finals.
Late Drama in First Half
The opening stages of the match were cagey, with Real Madrid sitting deep and limiting clear chances.
The game came alive in the 36th minute when Raphinha opened the scoring for Barcelona with a powerful strike.

Raphinha Delivers the Winner
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Barcelona dominating possession — holding close to 80% of the ball — while Madrid defended compactly.
The decisive moment came in the 73rd minute, when Raphinha scored his second goal of the night, sealing the win for Barcelona.
The Brazilian was the standout performer of the tournament, scoring two goals in the semi-final and two in the final.

Mbappé Returns but Real Madrid Fall Short
Real Madrid introduced Kylian Mbappé late in the match after he recovered from injury and missed the semi-final.
His presence added attacking threat, but despite several late chances, Madrid could not find another equaliser.

Barcelona’s celebrations were capped by a touching moment as Ronald Araújo, playing his first match after returning from a mental health break, was given the honour of lifting the trophy.
