Self-proclaimed doomsday prophet Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, has spoken openly about his time in police custody following his arrest over a failed prophecy.

Speaking during a TikTok live broadcast on January 24, 2026, Ebo Noah shared a personal account of what life was like during the three weeks he spent in detention, describing the experience as both difficult and unforgettable.

“You Sit Like a Monkey, Sleep Like a Fish” – Ebo Noah

According to Ebo Noah, life in the police cells was physically and mentally demanding, though he narrated parts of it with humour.

“Being in cells for three weeks was not easy. It was fun though. In the morning you sit like a monkey, that’s the term there, and at night you sleep like a fish,” he said.

His comments quickly gained attention online, sparking reactions from social media users.

Why Ebo Noah Was Arrested

Ebo Noah was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Ghana Police Service after his prophecy predicting that the world would be destroyed by a flood on December 25, 2025 caused widespread fear and panic.

Before his arrest, he claimed to have built an “ark” at his residence to save humanity from the alleged catastrophe.

When the prophecy failed to occur, he later stated that his prayers had caused God to postpone the destruction of the world.

Bail Conditions and Court Date

The self-styled prophet was granted bail on January 15, 2026, in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties. One surety is required to provide verifiable security, either through landed property or a vehicle.

The court warned that failure to comply with the bail conditions could lead to immediate withdrawal of the bail.

The case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026, for further proceedings.

Charges Against Him

Ebo Noah is facing a charge of publishing false news with intent to cause fear and panic, contrary to Ghana’s laws.

The case continues to draw public interest due to the unusual nature of the prophecy and its widespread impact.
