The sad incident occurred as dusk fell on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, during a period of heavy rainfall in the area.

According to information gathered by InfoBusy, the woman and her child were working on their farm when the rain began.
An eyewitness said that although the rain intensified and thunder was frequent, the woman and her daughter continued working.
Tragically, they were later struck by lightning on the farm.

Victim Identified
The woman has been identified as Victoria, aged 28. She reportedly ignored the repeated thunder strikes before the incident occurred.
Both mother and daughter died at the scene.

Community in Shock
Residents of Asante Mampong have been left in shock and mourning following the tragic event. Many have called for increased public education on safety during storms, especially for farmers.
