Tragic News of Bahubali’s Death
Ghanaian boxer Ernest Akushey, popularly known as Bahubali, has sadly passed away. According to reports from James Town TV and Africabox Showup, the young boxer died in the early hours of Tuesday, September 23, 2025, around 2 a.m.
The exact cause of his death is not yet confirmed, but sources suggest it could be linked to injuries from his recent fight.
His Final Bout at Bukom Boxing Arena
Bahubali’s last fight took place on Saturday, September 13, when he faced rising contender Jacob Dickson in a much-anticipated super middleweight showdown.
Unfortunately, the fight turned into a one-sided affair, with Dickson dominating from the start and finishing the match with an eighth-round TKO (technical knockout).
Videos from the bout showed Bahubali struggling under heavy pressure, which raised concerns about his condition even before the news of his passing.
What Happened Before His Death
Reports say Bahubali fell ill on Monday, September 22, complaining of undisclosed symptoms. His condition worsened overnight, and he was later confirmed dead around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
